Rastriya Swatantra Party's candidate Rabi Lamichhane has been leading the vote count with wide margin.
So far, Lamichhane has received collected 45,842 votes while contender Jit Narayan Shrestha of Nepali Congress got 8,425 and CPN UML candidate Ram Prasad Neupane collected 8,329.
Rabi Lamichhane was elected from Chitwan-2 in the House of Representatives elections held last year. Due to his citizenship issues, the by-election was held after he lost his position as an MP.
It is now certain that he will reclaim his position as MP in the by-election with a huge margin of votes.
