The meeting of the eight parties held at the Prime Minister's official residence, Baluwatar, has come to an agreement to support the candidate nominated by the Nepali Congress candidate for the upcoming presidential election.
The eight parties agreed on Friday evening to select and support a common candidate for the president from the Nepali Congress.
In the meeting, discussions were held between the Nepali Congress, CPN-Maoist Centre, CPN-Unified Socialist, Janata Samajwadi Party, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party, Janmaat Party, Rashtriya Janamorcha, and Nagarik Unmukti Party.
