Ghode Jatra, the annual horse festival of the Nepali Army has been marked at Tundikhel today in the presence of President Ram Chandra Paudel and other high-level dignitaries.
Nepali Army demonstrated various warfare techniques and sports activities. Different performances including the pony horse race, charger horse race and other shows were performed by the NA personnel.
Horses are thought to have been employed to trample a demon's body, therefore a parade of horses culturally became an element of the event.
